TidWeb is a WordPress and Elementor development studio working with businesses in the United Kingdom. We design and build business websites, rescue broken ones, and maintain them afterwards — remotely, from Pakistan, on a working day that overlaps yours for most of the afternoon.
We will be straight with you about one thing up front: our existing client work is concentrated in the United States, Australia and Europe rather than the UK. We are not going to invent British case studies to make this page look better. What we can show you is the same portfolio, the same references and the same written scope that those clients got, and the UK is a market where the practical mechanics — overlap hours, GDPR, invoicing — happen to work unusually well for us.

Every site is WordPress with Elementor Pro, so your team can edit copy, prices and images after handover without coming back to us for text changes. You own the licences and the assets outright. There is no proprietary platform and no monthly fee to keep the site online.

The UK is our best time zone overlap
Pakistan runs at UTC+5 with no daylight saving, which means we are four hours ahead of the UK in summer and five in winter. A normal Pakistani working day of 9am to 6pm maps to 5am to 2pm British Summer Time, or 4am to 1pm in winter.
The practical effect is that your entire morning is inside our working day. If you message at 9am London time, we are already three or four hours into ours and you get a reply immediately. Calls are easiest between 9am and 1pm your time, and we can stretch later on request — 3pm in London is 7pm here, which is a perfectly reasonable time to take a call.
Of all the markets we work in, the UK is the one where remote collaboration feels closest to working with someone down the road. You get same-day turnarounds during your own working hours rather than overnight ones, and the only part of your day we are typically offline for is late afternoon.
UK GDPR and cookie consent, built in rather than bolted on
UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations are stricter about cookies than most site owners realise, and the usual failure is not malice — it is a plugin installed with default settings.
The specific things that catch UK sites out are consistent. Analytics and marketing scripts that fire on page load before the visitor has consented to anything. A cookie banner with a prominent “Accept” button and a “Reject” option buried two clicks deep, when the ICO’s position is that refusing should be as easy as accepting. Contact forms that store submissions in the WordPress database indefinitely with no retention policy and no privacy notice explaining what happens to the data. Embedded YouTube videos and Google Fonts loaded from third-party servers, quietly passing visitor IP addresses abroad.
On UK builds we configure consent properly: non-essential scripts genuinely blocked until consent, reject made as easy as accept, fonts self-hosted, embeds set to load only after consent, and a privacy notice that reflects what the site actually does rather than a template someone pasted in. We are developers rather than solicitors, so we implement the technical side and leave the legal wording to your own advisers — but the technical side is where most UK small business sites are actually non-compliant.
Invoicing, VAT and how the contract works
We invoice in pounds sterling, by bank transfer or Wise. Card payment through an invoice link is available for smaller projects.
TidWeb is based outside the UK and not UK VAT registered, so we do not charge UK VAT on our invoices. For a VAT-registered UK business buying services from overseas, the reverse charge mechanism normally applies, which your accountant will handle as a routine entry. For a non-VAT-registered business it is generally simpler still. This is how it usually works rather than tax advice — confirm it with your own accountant.
Work runs on a fixed written scope agreed before anything starts, with fifty percent up front and the balance on completion. The scope states the page count, the revision allowance and what is explicitly out of it, so “finished” is not a matter of opinion later.
Hosting, speed and where your site actually lives
Where a site is built is irrelevant to how fast it loads. Where it is hosted is not. A UK business on cheap shared hosting in a US data centre is paying a latency penalty on every single request, and it shows up directly in Largest Contentful Paint.
For UK clients we host in a London or Dublin region with a CDN in front, so static assets are served from an edge node near your visitors. We also self-host fonts rather than pulling them from Google’s servers, which helps both speed and the GDPR point above — two problems solved by the same decision.
If a previous developer holds your hosting hostage, we deal with that too. Migration to an account in your own name, with your own billing and your own credentials, is a normal part of onboarding rather than an extra.
What it costs and why we are cheaper
Pricing is quoted per project after a short discovery call. Two sites with identical page counts routinely differ in cost by several times over, and it is almost never the design that explains the gap — it is custom functionality, third-party integrations, ecommerce complexity, and whether your copy and photography are ready or we are designing around placeholders.
We cost less than a comparable UK agency for the same standard of work. That is a function of where we live, not of what we cut. Every build uses fully licensed Elementor Pro and licensed plugins, and you own everything at handover. Nulled themes and pirated plugins are the single most common reason cheap websites get hacked, and we do not touch them at any price.
How to check us out before committing
Ask for three live URLs, a written scope before any money moves, confirmation that all software is licensed, and hosting registered in your name. Ask to speak to a current client — we will arrange it, and our references are American and Australian rather than British, which we would rather you heard from us than discovered later.
